The mares are decended from My foundation stallion, Heather Hill Brass Tacks. Brass Tacks' genuine, giving, and loving disposition came through *Downland
Drummer Boy. Wynne Davies even made mention of Drummer Boy's temperament in his book, "Welsh Ponies
and Cobs", stating: "I had two daughters of his at Ceulan and both had exceptionally kind temperaments."
I believe that this kind temperament had carried through to Heather Hill Brass Tacks and on to his foals.
KACEY MAJORETTE, Our pride and joy! She encompasses everything that we have been striving for in our breeding program. She is a terrific mover, eager to learn and please and
a "pocket pony" that everyone falls in love with when visiting. "Mary" is also the cornerstone for my Leadline program. She safely carries young children (as young as 3 years of age) on the lead rope or lunge line. Her gaits are very smooth and easy to sit.
"Mary's" full sister, Kacey Facet,
was a broodmare for Chaparral Stud Farm producing 4 incredible foals by Chaparral's
Te' Quiero: All Champions: Chaparral's Heartbeat, Chaparral's Sweetheart (owned and shown by Betty Jo Dotson), Chaparral's Hawkeye, and Chaparral's Bravada. "Mary's" full brother, Kacey Brass Prince, is currently showing and doing extremely well in 1st Level Dressage with qualifing scores for CDS Young Rider Championships.
"Mary" has a great new family. Looking forward to seeing her with her new riders.

KACEY PROM QUEEN. This sweet filly is linebred to Heather Hill Brass Tacks and it shows in her disposition and movement. She is quick to learn, and her gaits are smooth as silk. She enjoys the attention and work. Lilly is now showing training level dressage with scores in the 70's.
Prom Queen's full brother, Kacey Independence, shows the same great work ethic and gaits as his sister. Being the "older" sibling, Independence is just starting his show career in Dressage and English Pleasure. Two of Prom Queen's 1/2 brothers (by Chaparral's Te Quiero) have been working for a riding program for disabled riders. Their calm, quiet dispostions and smooth gaits make this pair the program's number one mounts. |
Welcome home Kacey Amulet. Now 6 years old and a solid 13.2h, "Chica" is ready to start her riding career. She is a wonderful mover and will soon be showing in Dressage.
